Two New HarvestMark Offices Open to Support Customer Growth
HarvestMark Opens New Office in Salinas, California and Forms HarvestMark de Mexico Subsidiary
Trimble, Sunnyvale, CA – March 24, 2011 – HarvestMark, Inc., the leader in traceability and authentication solutions, today announced the opening of a new HarvestMark sales and support office in Salinas, California, a region known as the “Salad Bowl of the World.” HarvestMark also announced its new HarvestMark de México subsidiary, expected to start operations out of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico in April. At both locations the company will provide program management, system integration and sales support to regional growers and shippers that use the company’s HarvestMark traceability solutions.
“We’re honored that HarvestMark has been adopted by hundreds of shippers across thousands of farms,” said J. Scott Carr, president and CEO, HarvestMark. “The HarvestMark business has grown rapidly in both the Salinas Valley and across Mexico. By enhancing our resources in these regions, we can be a better partner to our customers, delivering even greater value from HarvestMark traceability.”
The HarvestMark suite of traceability solutions is used by more than 2,500 farms from Canada to Argentina. HarvestMark PTI solutions provide packers and shippers easy-to-install and simple-to-use tools to print Produce Traceability (PTI) compliant case and RPC labels, on-demand or in volume, at the packing shed, on a pack-out line, in the field or at a cooler. Each label is fully compliant with PTI guidelines and printed with a unique HarvestMark code that can be traced on the web at HarvestMark.com or simply scanned with the HarvestMark iPhone app, enabling instant traceability anywhere in the supply chain.
The HarvestMark suite also includes unique item-level traceability, which helps producers and brand owners optimize freshness and quality at the retail shelf, enhances consumer engagement and allows growers and shippers to respond quickly in case of a food safety issue. Many HarvestMark customers employ both item and case-level traceability as a competitive advantage to build their businesses.
The company’s new Salinas office is located at 1588 Moffett Street, Suite A, Salinas, CA 93905. It can be reached by phone at 1.866.768.7878.
HarvestMark de México will operate out of Hermosillo, Sonora. This operation builds on the strong in-country support from AgroSupport de México, which will continue to provide sales and solution engineering across Mexico, including local support in the Culiacán, Sinaloa region.
